The overview, in writing·2 min read

LV talks about her own results in this video. That is her history, not a forecast — it may not apply to you, and most people who trade lose money.

Quick summary

She has traded for six or seven years and calls it a wave of emotions — up, down, and contemplating your life. She started the Run Club because anybody can truly become a trader; what stops people is that nobody breaks the terms down into something a beginner can process, and a full of moving numbers and abbreviated names is intimidating when you did not learn it in school and have no mentor.

So the academy is built as miles. Go through each one with intention. Do not breeze through it, and do not have it open while you scroll something else — the information only sticks once you see it working with your own hands.

Losses are part of it. Anybody who says they never take one is lying; she takes them almost every day. The job is to cut them short, keep the tight, and . And the thing that decides whether you are profitable or not is not the chart — it is the psychology. Money at risk brings adrenaline and euphoria, then denial and shock in a drawdown, and those feelings lead to impulsive decisions. The way out is a set of rules you follow every single time and do not break.

The overview

Start here

Anybody can learn this. It is about applying yourself, and having it broken down into words you can actually use.

Why she started the Run Club, what the miles are for, and the thing she says decides whether you make it: managing yourself.

How this works

  1. Watch the video. Captions are on. It is the shortest version of each idea she could record.
  2. Do the exercise and answer the questions. They unlock the next lesson, and every answer explains itself — getting one wrong is the point.
  3. Go to the next lesson. Six in total, about forty minutes, then a final test and a certificate.

Your place is remembered on this device, so you can stop anywhere and come back. Nothing to sign up for.

Words she uses

  • Chart

A picture of what a price has done over time.

  • Stop loss

A price you choose in advance where you get out. It fires whether you are watching or not.

  • Runner

A trade that is working — the price keeps moving your way after you are in.

What to take away

  • Anybody can learn this. The barrier is the words, not the person.
  • Go through each mile with intention. It only sticks once you see it working.
  • Everybody takes losses. Cut them short, keep stops tight, let the runners run.
  • The psychology decides it. Rules you never break keep emotion out of the decision.

Check yourself

Answer all of them to unlock the next one. Getting one wrong is fine — the explanation is the point.

1LV says one thing decides whether you end up profitable or not. What is it?

Her words: managing yourself is what makes you profitable or unprofitable. There is no way to trade without emotions — the work is learning to control them.

2How does she say you avoid the impulsive decisions that adrenaline, euphoria and shock lead to?

The feelings are real and she does not pretend otherwise. Rules you never break mean the decision was made before the feeling arrived.

3What does she say about traders who tell you they never take a loss?

She takes losses almost every day. The skill is cutting them short, keeping stops tight, and letting the runners run.
