Run Club Academy · the paid tryout · two and a half hours · $40

Two and a half hours to find out if this is for you.

The tryout is as much for you as it is for us. You spend one block doing the real job: joining live calls with women who asked LV's team for help, with the script, in your own voice. No cold dialing. You find out whether this is work you want to build a career in. We hear how you sound on the phone. It pays $40 flat, within three days, pass or not.

The calendar is on your next-steps page. It opens after your fifteen-minute call, and you can book the same day, from two hours ahead. Start times run 11 AM to 3:30 PM Arizona time, so every tryout ends by 6 PM.

Join on green.

No cold dialing. The Connector, LV's virtual assistant, calls each new lead within minutes of her opt-in, tells her it's a virtual assistant and that the call is recorded, and keeps her chatting until you join. The Connector opens the call; you take it from hello.
  1. Turn on calls (mic and headphones), then tap ▶ Start dialing.
  2. Watch the bubble. Gray: dialing. Yellow: the assistant is talking with her. Green: she's ready.
  3. Tap Join within about 75 seconds. The assistant says "Oh perfect, I've got [your first name] here, I'll let you two talk!" and drops off.
  4. Take it from hello, warm and by name: "Hey Tanya! Thanks for hanging on. So tell me…" No second recording notice.
  5. Log your notes and the outcome, then tap I'm free for the next one.

Miss the window and the assistant books her a call instead; that follow-up is yours. In the tryout, how fast you Join is one of the things we look at.

Why a tryout.

Because the only way to know if you like this work is to do it. Everyone starts as an Inbound Lead Specialist and grows from there:

  1. Inbound Lead SpecialistYou join calls with women who asked for help, find out where they are, show them what the Run Club is, and bring on the program director.
  2. Closing, tooSame job, one more switch: once you're ready, you come on as the program director yourself and enroll the women the Run Club is right for.
  3. Account ManagementYou look after the women who joined, and the people who join the team after you.
  4. Beyond LV's projectRun Club Academy is one of RealityShow's projects. Do well here and there is room on the others.

What happens in the two and a half hours.

  1. Before your start time: get ready. Sign in to Mission Control: your first email brings the login, or make your account here with the same email you applied with. The tryout runs in it. Read the setter hat on My start, under Your training: six short lessons. Then set up your headphones and mic, below.
  2. At your start time, Cyrus calls you to kick off. Then the first half hour: know who you're calling for. Watch LV tell her story (thirteen minutes), open the free course the way the women you'll call see it, and look at who we are at realityshow.com.
  3. Two hours on live calls. Turn on calls, tap Start dialing, and Join each call on green, within about 75 seconds. Her card shows her first name, what she picked when she signed up, and her minutes with LV. Use the script in your own voice and your own tone. Follow its flow; you don't have to read it word for word.
  4. The second she's engaged, post her name on On the line in Mission Control. At the build-up, if a closer is marked available, you call them in as the program director, even if nobody has tapped. On a phone, Add Call to the closer, then Merge. On a computer, tell her the program director is calling her in the next minute and hang up; the closer calls her and adds you in, so all three of you are on the line. If nobody is available to close, you close it yourself, straight away. The build-up, step by step.
  5. At the end, follow "How to end your shift" below: log the call, tap Stop dialing, and file your shift report in Mission Control. You're paid $40 within three days, pass or not.

The script.

Everything you say is on one page, in big type, made to glance at mid-call. Read it out loud once before your block.

Do it in your own voice and your own tone. The words matter less than the flow: contact, discovery, the pitch, the build-up, the close. Smile before you Join; she can hear it.

Setting up.

You don't dial and you don't record. The Connector dials, and the system records every call, from the assistant's first word through your transfer. That's how we coach you, and how you get good fast. All you need:

Stuck? Don't stop. Text Cyrus at 480-669-1684 now, not at your start time. Most set-ups take him five minutes on the phone.

She hears the recording notice from the Connector before you join. If she asks you about it, answer straight: yes, so the team can coach. If she doesn't want to be recorded, tap Stop recording in the bubble right away: the recording stops and nothing after it is kept, she gets an email to book a follow-up, and her card is tagged no-recording. Say: "Totally fine. I'll send you an email so you can pick a time for a follow-up, and someone from the team will take it from there." Then end the call politely. We don't continue the call, and you never talk her out of it.

How to end your shift.

Every shift ends the same five steps, tryout included. About five minutes.

  1. Close her card on On the line, or log the call in Transfers. Before anything else.
  2. Tap ■ Stop dialing. So no new call comes to you. Recordings save on their own.
  3. Follow up the missed ones. Any call the assistant booked because you missed the Join window is yours.
  4. File your shift report. Mission Control, Shift report: hours, calls joined, live transfers and booked calls. It feeds the team's stats, and it's how Cyrus coaches you and checks your pay week.
  5. Leave nothing loose. A callback she asked for goes in the notes on her card. Close the lead list, and keep no numbers, notes or screenshots of your own.

What we look at.

If we'd happily put you on the phone again tomorrow, you're in, and your first week starts. Either way, the $40 is yours.

Know who you're calling for.

LV

Fifteen years in music and two record deals. In 2020 she had five thousand dollars saved, and it had to work, so she taught herself to trade at her kitchen table, and she made it work. Watch her tell it in thirteen minutes.
